The Customer Support Division (CSD) is responsible for the after-sales support of all the equipment sold and rented into the field.
This division prides itself on its commitment to supporting its customers with a comprehensive aftersales infrastructure, designed to improve equipment uptime while lowering total cost of ownership.
CSD has a fully equipped workshop where the company handles all the repairs, maintenance and servicing, backed by a team of highly qualified diesel plant fitters and electricians to handle all possible faults and defects.
Machinery Exchange technicians travel with fully equipped light vehicles with all their tooling, so that they can carry out any necessary work on a client's site. This division is also supported by larger field service vehicles which are able to provide mobile field support with compressors, welding machines and generators.
The CSD also offers a complete suite of transport services for the movement of heavy machinery and components using their fleet of 30 ton step deck lowbeds and crane truck with 17ton/metre HYVA crane.
CSD offers further on-site or on-call out Maintenance Agreements for select customers, whereby Machinery Exchange carries out all the servicing, repairs and maintenance of the customers fleet of equipment. The equipment does not necessarily have to be supplied by Machinery Exchange.
In addition to this, CSD supplies a MCA (Machine Condition Assessment) inspection, whereby they can assess the state of customer’s equipment and carry out further troubleshooting or diagnostics testing.
CSD can execute complete machine rebuilds and / or major component reconditioning (e.g. engines, transmissions, gearboxes etc.). This is all done in purpose built workshops or component bays and following the strictest quality control procedures.
All of the above services are designed to help customers achieve 85% equipment availability, through disciplined service intervals, proactive inspections, timeous intervention and repairs. This allows the customer to focus on his business whilst Machinery Exchange focuses on keeping the equipment in good working order.
